The minutes from September’s GWPRA meeting are now available to download from the website.
The lead developer of Great Western Park (Taylor Wimpey) will be holding an exhibition of the draft proposals for sports and recreation facilities within the main area of open space, as well as initial plans for the layout of development within the southern part of the site (known as the ‘Southern Framework Plan’). Representatives of the developer and their advisers will be present at all times to answer any questions, and there will be an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals.
The exhibition will be held at the Didcot Civic Hall, Britwell Road, Didcot, OX11 7JN on the following dates:
- Thursday 20 September 2012 from 2.00pm to 9.00pm
- Friday 21 September 2012 from 2.00pm to 5.00pm
Just a reminder that the next GWPRA meeting is going to be held on Thursday 6th September at the Civic Centre at 7.30pm.

On Thursday 23rd August there will be a Community Event and opening of the new play park at Great Western Park.
You are invited to attend with a great chance to meet your new neighbours and find out more about the future of GWP.
There will be a BBQ, giant garden games and prizes for the kids to enjoy.
The event starts at 4pm until 7pm.
Please note that there will be no residents’ meeting in August, this was decided as people tend to take holidays during this month.

ONE of Didcot’s power stations could close two years earlier than planned.
Coal-fired Didcot A was expected to remain open until 2015, but now looks likely to close next year.
The first meeting of the Great Western Park Resident’s Association will take place at the Didcot Civic Centre.
The meeting will be upstairs in the Committee Room on Thursday 24th May at 7.30 pm until 9.30pm with access from 7.00pm.
