GWP Neighbourhood Park – Criminal Damage

The Neighbourhood Park, including skate park, is NOT currently open to the public. Over the past few days there has been a spate of Criminal Damages to the security fencing and unpleasant graffiti to the park area. It is suspected that School Children have been involved in the damage. Please ensure that everyone, particularly children, are aware that the Neighbourhood Park area is out of bounds to members of the public.

The GWPRA are trying to expedite the opening of the Park to the public but damage to it will only slow this process up further. The Landowners, Taylor Wimpey, are increasing security in the area and the School has been made aware. If you see any unauthorised persons in the park area, please report to the Police on 101 or if they are seen committing damage, call 999.

The Original Great Western Park public Arts strategy, produced in 2011, is up for a review. Please take time to read through it and if you have any comments or suggestions please inform Abigail Brown – Arts Development Officer for Vale of White Horse DC.
